Ensemble Incanto

 The ensemble incanto was founded in 1988 during the Messiaen Festival in Hannover. Since then they have been enthusiastically received at chamber music venues and festivals around the world with their extraordinary concert programmes. Their recordings are widely recognised both by their international colleagues and by critics.Michaela Paetsch Neftel (violin) was born in 1961 in Colorado Springs. She was a prize-winner at the Queen Elisabeth Int. Competition in Brussels and at the Tchaikovsky Int. Competition in Moscow. As a soloist of international repute she plays among others in concert with the BBC London, the Gewandhaus-Leipzig, the NHK Tokyo, the Hallé Orchestra Manchester, La Suisse Romande and Montreal. * Ralph Manno (clarinet) was born in Brühl, Germany, in 1964. He was a prize-winner of the German Musikrat and after solo engagements with the WDR in Cologne and the Munich Philharmonic he became Professor at the Music Academy of Cologne in 1993. As an internationally renowned soloist with a repertoire that includes almost all of the famous compositions for clarinet he is received enthusiastically around the world. * Liese Klahn (piano) was born in 1955 in Höxter and studied with E. Hansen and K.H. Kämmerling. She participated in courses with W. Kempff, N. Harnoncourt and G. Leonhardt. In the course of her extensive concert activity as a chamber musician and Lied accompanist she has worked among others with Sabine Meyer, Thomas Quasthoff and the Vienese String Sextet.
